Baby Interview @ Angie Martinez Power 105.1 (April 2016)

Check out a list of the 10 things we learned about Birdman from his new interview with Angie Martinez:

01) How learning about the bible while locked up at 16-years-old gave him a different outlook on life and helped him turn his own life around. "When I was incarcerated I learned about God..It was my first time reading the bible...I changed as a person, I was really young and wild."

02) Minister Farrakhan is one his mentors. The minister even blessed Stunna's Miami home while his kids and brother were present. "That's somebody I have the upmost respect for" he says about Minister Farrakhan.

03) His mother died when he was only 2-years-old and his dad died when he was 5-years old. "I lost my whole family...I was raised with no parents".

04) Birdman lived in a boys home for years after his parents died and until his stepmother picked him up at 10-years-old.

05) Stunna lived in Canada for several years, yet has never told Drake about this.

06) Baby has a hatred toward men's suits due to him wearing them to so many funerals of people that he loved.

07) He's infatuated with walking around with large amounts of money since he became a millionaire. "It was like a dreams come true."

08) The fact that he's never loved a woman enough for her to hurt him. "I love what I do more than I love a woman."

09) That he sleeps with three guns in his bedroom with one being under his pillow.

10) NY artists that he likes? Maino and Uncle Murda + that 50 Cent's 'I'm The Man' is his favorite song right now

Stash Money: Lawsuits by the Pound (Lil Wayne & Turk vs. Cash Money Records)

If you’re 26 or older, chances are you know a thing or two about the golden days of Cash Money Records. Back from 1997-2001 Cash Money’s main focus was around Hot Boys’ members, Juvenile and B.G., but you can’t forget the Big Tymers as well. The youngest of the Cash Money Millionaires was Young Turk & Lil Wayne. Both artists had each released solo albums by 2001. Wayne with two ( Tha Block is Hot, Lights Out) and Turk with one (Young n Thuggin).

Fame and fortune blessed the rising hip hop label in a major way and then came the original lawsuits and departures from Cash Money. In the fall of 2001 Juvenile and B.G. had fled the label to build their own dynasties and suit their former label. It took Turk a couple more months but by early 2002 he left as well.

When the dust finally settled at Cash Money, all that was left of the super group was Lil Wayne, Mannie Fresh & Baby with Slim behind the scenes. It’s no secret that as of today in early 2015 it seems as if all that was meant to stand is the Williams brothers. Both of the brothers are well known for being the co-founders and co-CEO’s of the very successful label.

When Wayne went to Twitter to dispel is utter distain and anger over the delays of his new album, Tha Carter V, back in early December. That is when the Internet broke, especially in the Hip Hop community. By mid-January photo’s had surface of the 21-page document of the lawsuit and exactly why he is suiting hiscurrent label for 51 million. That being said, Wayne is in no way on speaking terms with Baby according to recent reports.

The Turk situation on the other hands is less publicized but well documented in the same respect. He is suing his former label, for 1.3 million, of the same thing that initially pushed Juvenile away, as well as, B.G. too. He is suiting over royalties and believes he wasn’t receiving his owed cash in general due to shaky circumstances. Either way is it similar to Wayne case.

Everything is eventually going to come to a close over these suits. Hopefully we understand better in the coming weeks, months or years ahead if this plays out well for Wayne and Turk. For any of us long time Cash Money fans this situation, and all the previous ones, have always had us bummin’. Not matter what the outcome is we’re fans of the artists more than any other thing. Stay real ya’ll…Wayne and Turk are.

Breaking News; Juvenile Back to Cash Money Records!

Among all the recent news of in-fighting between members of YMCMB, a new headline has been created bringing a familiar face back into the picture. Recently sitting down with MTV, original Cash Money Records signee and Hot Boy member Juvenile announced that he's back with the label that made him famous.

"It's already done, man. I signed the paperwork a couple days ago," Juvenile said when asked whether he would ever consider signing with Cash Money Records again. "I'm signed back, Rich Gang. I'm about to get my little tattoo and everything. It's all love, I'm back."

He continued and relayed that he will be with the label until he retires from the music industry.

"I'm here to stay, too, for everybody out there. I'm not going anywhere," he said. "I talked about it to [Birdman]. You start where you finish. It's a done deal, people. I'm officially signed back to Cash Money, Rich Gang. It's a big bubble, man". In the second half of MTV's video, Birdman talked about resigning his former artist and says things have changed since his departure years ago.

"Even though we've been through what we've been through, [we're] older now. We was younger then," Birdman said. "We all spoke. [Lil Wayne] did music with him. And I think he's got the right records. I know how focused he is, with his craft. He ain't never lost that... To be working with Juvie again, I'm excited about that because I know what I can bring out him and with the platform I have, he can be bigger than he was before."
