New SQAD UP Album On The Way?

According to the last Instagram picture by Raw Dizzy aka Raw D.I. a new album - a reunion album - of SQAD Up including original members (Young Yo, Supa Blanco, Fee Fee, Gudda Gudda, Lil Wayne, Nutt da Kidd and Raw Dizzy) is on the way. Hope one of these artists can confirm that because is really good news for old-wayne-sound lovers.

Turk, Mannie Fresh & Juvenile Bury After Concert Drama

Turk, Mannie Fresh, and Juvenile were set to perform at a Hot Boys concert in Jackson, Mississippi over the weekend, but a week ago, Turk was kicked out of the gig. Turk's booking agent was told that either Mannie Fresh or Juvenile were the ones to make the decision to kick him off the show.

"I got a phone call from my booking agent about a week ago and he told me that they didn't want me on the show, that either Juve or Mannie's management called the promoter and told them either it's going to be them, which is Juve and Mannie Fresh, not showing up to the show or they would have to take me off and they're not getting their money back because they won't show up."

Turk was insistent about there being no beef between him, Juvenile, and Mannie Fresh, and revealed that any animosity between them was smoothed over when he arrived at the show. The "Young & Thuggin'" rapper tweeted out to his fans;

His message was followed by an update from Juvenile, who wrote;

Juvenile ft. Birdman, Lil Wayne - Picture Perfect (Audio)

Looks like a Juvenile and Cash Money reunion is taking place and this is the first of many collaborations to come. Two years ago, we got a B.G., Lil Wayne and Birdman collaboration back in 2010 with “Back To The Money RMX", now, 9 years later of "Juvie the Great" here is the reunion with the veteran hot-boy Juvenile. 

Wayne and Baby collabo titled “Picture Perfect“ and Mike Will produced the track.

Mannie Fresh Vlog 1 "Road To Bonnaroo"

Will Mannie Fresh Reunite With Lil Wayne At Bonnaroo?

In preparation for the Bonnaroo music festival beginning today in Manchester, Tennessee, legendary hip hop producer and longtime Cash Money Record collaborator Mannie Fresh has been pegged to craft a hip hop remix of the festival’s official theme song.

The theme song, “Bonnaroo (Feel The Magic),” was written by longtime bluegrass musician Del McCoury and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. A story retold by Preservation Hall member Ben Jaffe said that McCoury got the idea to pen the song in a band partnership while stranded in a snowstorm during a joint tour between McCoury’s group and the Preservation Hall band.

The news of Mannie Fresh providing an update to the feel-good original should be thrilling to fans of the producer who gained fame as the in-house producer for New Orleans indie powerhouse Cash Money Records in the 90s. Mannie has also found some notoriety as a rapper alongside Cash Money label boss Brian “Birdman” Williams as part of the Big Tymers duo, of which the pair has released five albums.

Citing money issues in 2005, Fresh moved on from the Cash Money confines and began work as an artist and producer for Def Jam South. His second and currently most recent solo album Return Of The Ballin’ was released in 2009 and featured southern rap greats Rick Ross and Lil Jon on one track.

Rumors are rumbling about that Mannie Fresh will be in attendance at Bonnaroo which makes for an interesting scenario since former label mate Lil Wayne is one of the headlining rap acts of the festival along with Eminem and other big names. Could a possible reunion between YMCMB and Mannie Fresh be on the horizon this weekend?

The Bonnaroo festival begins today (June 9) and ends on Sunday (June 12).
