Kidd Kidd Fatally Shot In New Orleans

According to MediaTakeOut the rapper Kidd Kidd (YM Former Member) was shoot in the streets of New Orleans. This is the press note:

June 11, 2011. MediaTakeOut.com is sad to report that rapper KIDD KIDD, best known for being featured on Lil Waynes's Mrs Officer,was SHOT multiple times in New Orleans. Details are still coming in, but THE STREETS are saying that he was going to his mothers house when a GROUP OF GOONS ran up on him with guns and started SHOOTING. It's not clear WHY they shot Kidd Kidd, but the STREETS suspect that it was a robbery.

But there is GOOD news. It appears that Kidd Kidd will survive the ASSASSINATION attempt.

One of our favorite rappers, KIDD KIDD aka Nutt da Kidd, was shot several times last night while walking up to his mother’s house in New Orleans East. His mother actually witnessed the attempt on her son’s life. Our sources say that the surgery was a success and the doctors say he will be fine. Luckily the 10 wounds he suffered were mostly in his lower region. His family thanks everyone for their prayers.

The shooting occurred shortly before 9:15 p.m. in the 9500 block of Dinkins Street, police said. He was transported in guarded condition to the LSU Trauma Center. Officer Shereese Harper said police so far have no motive or suspects.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crimestoppers at 504.822.1111 or toll-free at 1.877.903.7867. Callers do not have to give their names or testify and can earn as much as $2,500 for tips that lead to an indictment.
